In April 2020, engagement rumours started to spark as Lily was spotted with a huge ring on her wedding finger.

That same ring was pictured on her finger again in July while they basked in the sun in Capri, although no engagement had been confirmed.

Captioning the snap with a string of love hearts, David replied to his new wife’s post sweetly writing: “…darling so it goes, some things are meant to be.”

David has since spoken about being a step-dad to Lily's two daughters, saying it has given him a "new love" he "never had."
