Dr Ranj Singh net worth: How much does the health professional and former Strictly star make?

It’s not known what Dr Ranj’s net worth is or how much he makes working for ITV.

However, it is safe to say he has a prolific television career behind him.

He has appeared on Save Money: Good Health, BC Inside Out, Channel 5 News and ITV Good Morning Britain.

Last year, he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, which he would have received a considerable pay check for.

According to The Sun, each celebrity is given a standard £25,000 to sign up for show. If they managed to stay on the dance floor until the end of October this then rises to £40,000.

Any star that makes it to the quarter-finals sees their fee jump to £60,000; that figure then climbs to £75,000 if they last an extra week and get into the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the Strictly winner will be paid £100,000.

As well as his Strictly earnings, Ranj is a fully qualified NHS clinician, for which he is paid a salary.

In February, Dr Ranj revealed he’d be making a career change.

Speaking to his Instagram followers, he said: “Tonight I start a run of 3 night shifts – my final shifts at the wonderful @stgeorgestrust. I’ve not been here long but this place has taught me so much – above all, how important it is to understand, value & support each other. Plus, I’ll be wearing my @nhsrainbow badge with pride!”

However, he was keen to reassure fans that he wasn’t leaving the NHS, saying: “Ps. don’t worry I’m not quitting the NHS!”

The doctor married his wife in early adulthood, but some time after came out as gay.

The couple divorced and now Dr Ranj is open about his sexuality.

Discussing his sexuality in Attitude Magazine, Ranj said: “Eventually, I did admit what I was going through to my wife, which was hard enough.

“But telling my family was another level entirely. I cried for days before I could tell my brothers.”

Express.co.uk recently revealed Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner Stacey Dooley’s net worth.

The TV presenter has made an eye-watering fortune from her presenting jobs and winning the dance show last year.
