Marrying your childhood sweetheart has to be the pinnacle of romance; however, celebrity couples aren’t best known for their longevity.

But some showbiz pairings like Tom and Giovanna Fletcher break the mould and have been together way before the fame, the money and the celebrity status arrived in their lives.

Tom and Giovanna Fletcher

Tom met Giovanna when they were both attending Sylvia Young performing arts stage school.

Their surnames – Falcone and Fletcher – meant they sat alongside one another in school assemblies and this is how they first got to know each other.

In 2004, Tom wrote the McFly song It’s All About You for Giovanna and their friendship turned romantic.

Tom proposed in 2011 in the school assembly room where they first met and the couple married in 2012.

They have since become parents to three children: Buzz, six, Buddy, five, and Max, two.

Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn

Ed’s longtime childhood school friend Cherry became his wife.

The school friends reconnected in 2015 during Ed’s break from music and went on a ‘late gap year’ travelling the world where they fell in love.

The couple married in secret in 2018 on Ed's country estate in front of just close friends and family with no celebrity friends invited.

The pair are now married and have a baby daughter named Orla.

Hannah Bagshawe and Eddie Redmayne

Eddie was attending boy’s boarding school Eton when he met Hannah who was attending the neighbouring all-girls boarding school.

Hannah needed to recruit male students to walk the runway for a charity fashion show when Eddie volunteered and the two became friends.

The pair started dating in 2012 and are now married and have two children.

Snoop Dogg’s met his wife when they were attending the same high school and they even went to the end of year prom together.

They married in 1994 and have three grown-up children together.

However, their relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing and in 2004 the couple filed for divorce.

The papers were never signed and in 2008 they renewed their vows instead.

Speaking in 2013, Snoop explained: "I had no understanding of how I was hurting her and how I was betraying myself, until I realised I need to love this woman who loves me and had my kids.

"I needed to put my life in perspective and let my music and my business become secondary."
