Thrifty woman gets her hob spotless using a toothpick and you’ll wonder why you never thought of doing it

AS much as we love having a hob, there's no denying they're an absolute nightmare to keep clean with all their nooks and crannies.

Well rather than applying more and more products in the hopes that it'll keep it clean (guilty as charged), one woman has revealed how a single toothpick could solve all your hob woes.

Posting on her TikTok channel Benni at Home, the cleaning fan said: "I love cleaning our gas cooker – BUT it's so difficult getting into those corners.

"So guess what I like to use? A toothpick!"

Yes, it might sound mad – but when you wrap a toothpick in a cleaning cloth, you can use it to target any lingering grime around the hob's knobs and gas rings.

She continued: "I wrap it up in my favourite microfibre cloth, make sure it's a little bit soapy and clean away."

As she gets rid of the grime, she adds: "Now look at that!"

The video has racked up over 600 "likes" on TikTok – and fans replied with their own suggestions.

"Toothbrushes are great too," one wrote. "And dental floss!"

Another added: "And a cotton bud, they're perfect!"

A third wrote: "I use ear buds!"
