Princess Kate stuns in bright pink outfit – and royal fans think it's a dig at Meghan Markle | The Sun

PRINCESS Catherine has stunned in a pink outfit as she arrived at a food bank this morning.

The Princess of Wales joined Prince William to hear about the support offered to struggling families.

They will also be helping volunteers to sort food donations and prepare packages for the charity's clients to collect later that day.

Kate's dazzling outfit comes despite Meghan Markle claiming to have worn more muted colours so she could "fit in" in her Netflix docu-series.

She said: "Most of the time that I was in the UK, I rarely wore colour. There was thought in that.

"To my understanding, you can't ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there's a group event, but then you also shouldn't be wearing the same colour as one of the other, more senior members of the family.

"So I was like, well what's a colour that they'll probably never wear? Camel? Beige? White? So, I wore a lot of muted tones, but it also was so I could just blend in. Like, I'm not trying to stand out here.

"So there's no version of me joining this family and trying to not do everything I could to fit in. I don't want to embarrass the family."

Windsor Foodshare marks its tenth anniversary this year. It provides short-term weekly help through food parcels to any household where there is a chance of going hungry.

The Prince and Princess will meet those running the service to learn more about the support it offers, and its principles of treating everyone as equals without judgement.

They will also hear about the impact of the cost of living crisis.

Demand for the service has increased recently and last year it fed more than 7,000 residents.

Earlier this week Kate meant business yesterday when she met experts helping her new campaign to support kids.

The Princess of Wales, 41, cut a professional figure in a black Alexander McQueen blazer and white shirt at the Windsor Castle event.

She vowed to help the nation’s youngsters improve their social and emotional skills as she met an eight-member advisory board working with her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

The smiling princess told the early years experts: “I was talking to the children this morning — the excitement and nervousness gets mixed up together in the same pot.”

Kate is next week expected to launch a new phase of her work, which highlights the importance of a child’s first five years of life.

She added: “I’m really excited for next week. Lot’s coming up.
