A LIFE hack content creator with a green thumb has revealed three ways cinnamon can help your house plants.

Some people find it difficult to keep their greenery alive, but these hacks will help plants grow fast, kill diseases, and prevent bugs from going into the soil.


Armen Adamjan (@creative_explained) on TikTok posted a video about the magical powers of cinnamon, starting off with what it can do to help plants' roots.

"You can sprinkle some on top of the soil of your plants and it'll encourage root growth!" he said.

The gardener added that the spice helps prevent growths that you do not want.

He said: "Because cinnamon has antifungal properties, It'll prevent mold and fungi from appearing on the soil."

Armen said that cinnamon also helps with warding off bugs.

"You know those annoying gnats in the soil? Well, guess what? Cinnamon gets rid of them too!" he said.

The gardener added that a cinnamon mixture can also help with sick plants.

"You can treat plant diseases by making cinnamon water!"

"Just mix one teaspoon of cinnamon with some water in a spray bottle, spray it directly on the leaves of your plants, and let the cinnamon do its thing!" he said.

If you want more gardening tips, Amen also said that you can clone plants with cinnamon.

"Just get a cutting. Cut the stem on a 45 degree angle. Dip it in some cinnamon and plant it in a pot with soil." he said.

Armen also gave a sprouting hack in the video.

"When you're sprouting seeds, sprinkle some cinnamon on it. It'll encourage them to sprout," he said.

At the end of the video, Armen added: "Cinnamon is truly magic for plants."
