Mum shows off ‘amazing’ £40 kitchen renovation – but people are confused about the bizarre positioning of the plug sockets – The Sun

A MUM showed off her "amazing" kitchen transformation – however people were more distracted by the bizarre positioning of her plug sockets.

The woman called Gemma shared a snap of her husband's impressive DIY – which involved a thrifty £40 eBay purchase – to the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It.

She wrote: "If anyone needs any inspiration!

"My husband has completely renovated our kitchen with walls getting knocked down and a new kitchen put in!

"I didn’t want units on all the walls and instead bought two scaffold boards from Wickes, put some wood dye on them and bought black brackets off eBay!

"Total price about £40ish for both!!"

Lovely kitchen, but what on earth do you use that plug for?!

Her post quickly received more than 800 'likes' with many people commenting that the finished result was "lovely".

However, some people shared that they were baffled by the strange positioning of two plug sockets near the ceiling.

One person wrote: "Lovely kitchen but what on earth do you use that plug for?!"

It prompted the original poster to explain: "To everyone asking about the plug socket.

"It’s there because the extractor for the oven used to be on that side.

"The other switch is the fuse for the oven, it would have cost too much money to move and my husband left the plug there because he had plans for it! Not sure what though."
