Mum shares ‘life saving’ hack to keep your kids entertained on long car rides & all you need is a sandwich bag

WITH the bank holiday long weekend approaching, you might be looking at dashing across country for a few days away with the family.

And while the final destination may be worth the long drive it takes to get there, the car ride might not be so pleasant with squabbling kids in tow.

Luckily, one mum might just have a solution which will keep your youngsters quiet and settled for long periods of time.

And there's little to no fuss on your part either as all you need is a simple sandwich bag- and no, it's not to store snacks, although this is a good idea too.

Mum Whitney Leavitt shared the simple hack on her TikTok page where it was seen by thousands of thrilled parents.

In the clip she demonstrates putting an iPhone inside the bag before hanging it off the back of the chair.

By doing this, the kids in the back can watch their favourite show on the screen without having to touch it or hold it at all.

To attach the bag to the chair, it appears Whitney had removed the headrest and used the metal pegs to pierce a hole through the plastic bag.

Then once the headrest is back in it's place, it holds the sandwich bag in place too and it should stay for the duration of the trip – or until the phone dies, that is.
