Posting on her Instagram account, the 39-year-old wrote: "This look. This couple… High neck for the win."

And followers were quick to notice that the gown looked identical to Meghan's evening dress – which makes sense, since it was believed Jessica helped Meghan choose her wedding day looks.

One fan wrote: So beautiful! It reminds me of Meghan’s second gown" while another said: "It’s a Meghan Markle reception dress for a bride!! Absolutely LOVE IT!!"

With a halterneck style, and a subtle train, it's the mirror image of the style that Meghan wore to her reception at Frogmore House.

When Meghan wore the Stella McCartney gown – which was believed to cost around £60k – there was a 185 per cent rise in online searches for similar styles, according to data from MyVoucherCodes.co.uk.

Speaking about the stunning gown, Stella told ELLE: "I think Meghan chose me for reasons other than just a beautiful dress… She is not a difficult client to make look beautiful. Amal called me and asked me to do it, as did Oprah.

"I look at that Amal dress, and it is made of sustainable viscose that took us three years to develop.

"And I think, obviously I am a British designer, but I think being a woman and being a women's woman played a part. They are all women's women. It's a big deal.”

The dress was so popular that Stella also released a collection of evening gowns almost identical to the dress Meghan wore.

Only 46 gowns were made – 23 in lily-white and 23 in onyx-black – all high-neck, low-backed and floor-sweeping.

The collection, entitled The Made with Love, was created from sustainable viscose.

Following the wedding, Stella told the BBC she felt "very proud" and even suggested the gown was Meghan's last "moment of joy".

"It was very much her dress and I felt very proud that she came to me for that part of the wedding," explained Stella.

"I think it was the last moment she could reflect sort of the other side to her and you know, the joy and the human within."
