Kate Middleton wore a VERY similar version of her spot-on festive outfit a decade ago

The Duchess of Cambridge embraced the spirit of Christmas in a £1,450 midi skirt from Emilia Wickstead and sophisticated £209 Brora cardigan as she hosted a Christmas party for RAF families at her Kensington Palace home.

Looking effortlessly glamorous for the first festive event of the year, the mum-of-three completed her outfit with a pair of chic suede boots and styled her hair in signature loose waves.

However, it now appears that Kate dipped into her style archives when putting together the winning festive ensemble.

Pictured modelling a super similar outfit in January 2008, Kate donned a similar red tartan knee-length skirt and black polo-neck jumper as she pounded the pavements of Chelsea.

In true noughties style, Kate paired her festive skirt with a smart black blazer and slouchy knee-high boots.

And completing her ever-so-noughties ensemble, the future Duchess wore her oversized tan handbag on her elbow instead of slung over her shoulder obvs.

Kate was working as an accessories buyer for fashion brand Jigsaw Junior at the time when she was spotted out and about in the London neighbourhood.

However, the Duchess of Cambridge gave up her role at the British brand when she got engaged to long-term boyfriend Prince William in November 2016.

Recycling the look over a decade later, Kate opted for a longer tartan skirt and button-up cardigan for her spot-on Christmas ensemble.

In more Royal Family news, Prince William has revealed he leaves pizza on the sofa and it drives Kate Middleton mad.

And Kate Middleton took Charlotte, three, on a secret afternoon treat to watch a rehearsal of The Nutcracker ahead of opening night.

Plus Kate Middleton channels Meghan Markle in wide-legged trousers and a blazer for royal engagement in Cyprus.
