But if you're a midsize and are yet to update your wardrobe, don't rush to the high street just yet, as one woman has revealed the must-have garments.
Christina Lagios is a UK size 12/14 and regularly takes it to social media to share fashion tips and tricks, as well as shopping hauls, including the Boohoo X Meghan Fox collaboration, which some haven't been too impressed with.
With close to 40,000 followers, her videos are watched by thousands, but one recent one has taken the platform by storm.
Here, posing in a bright pink crop top and a pair of high-waisted jeans, Christina revealed the styles of dressed to wear for those who want to flatter their stomach.

In the video, she was rocking an adorable and flowy strappy skater dress by PrettyLittleThing with a flattering cut.

This, as she demonstrated, was a ruched bodycon dress.
