A CRAFTY woman has revealed her cheap trick for creating a privacy front door – and all you'll need is a £2 buy.

Taking to her social media Wendy shared her solution for covering up the glass panel on her entrance.

“I’m about to move house,” she first told viewers as she moved towards her front door. “And I just realised that this has been stuck here for three years.” 

She then pointed at the patterned film on the small window of the door. Over this, she wrote: “Elmer’s glue alternative”. 

“This is shelf liner from Dollar Tree,” she continued. Similarly designed shelf liners can be found for as little as £2 from online retailers such as Etsy. 

TikTok user @coneyislandsiren continued: “So this is for the people who are doing Elmer glue on the window, which I think looks cool.

“But this is so much easier because I just cut out the shape, cleaned the window, sprayed it with Windex and slapped it on.” 

She said it’s been stuck there for three years, despite living in an “all weather” place in the northeast region of the US. 

People took to the comments section to share their thoughts on her hack as one person wrote: “My mom cut some lace and dipped it in water and cornstarch I think. It’s been in the same spot 20 years.” 

Another said: “Lace and liquid starch spray,” to which she replied: “I’m trying that in my next place”.
