Gordon Ramsay’s brutal parenting rules revealed – including making the kids fly economy & why they won’t inherit a PENNY

YOU might think that being the child of a celebrity would make your life a breeze – but that’s certainly not the case for Gordon Ramsay’s kids.

The chef has the same strict rules when it comes to parenting as he does in the kitchen, and any of his sioux chefs will know that you don’t want to break those.

Gordon and his wife Tana are already parents to 22-year-old Megan, 21-year-old twins Jack and Holly, 19-year-old Tilly and toddler son Oscar – who was born in April 2019.

But the 54-year-old has revealed that his wife, 46, is keen to try for baby number six in lockdown.

And if the couple are to welcome another bundle of joy, they can expect the same parenting techniques from their fiery dad.

From denying his kids handouts to making them fly economy, we reveal the chef’s brutal parenting techniques…

NO HAND-OUTS HERE

Back in 2017, Gordon shocked fans when he revealed he wouldn’t leave a penny of his fortune to his kids in fears it could “ruin them.”

Speaking to the Telegraph, Gordon, who according to reports has an estimated net worth of around £113million, said his children will have to make their own way in life.

"It's definitely not going to them, and that's not in a mean way; it's to not spoil them," he said.

"The only thing I've agreed with Tana is that they get a 25 per cent deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat."

He added: "I've never been really turned on about the money. That's not my number one objective and that's reflected in the way the kids are brought up."

YOU CAN’T WORK WITH DAD

In 2019 Gordon revealed that if his kids wanted to work in the restaurant business, they would have to get to the top alone.

Speaking on US radio, Ramsay said: "I’m firm, I’m fair and I will give you everything I’ve got to get you to the very top.

"And that’s it, no bulls. I take a lot of flak for being straight and honest, but I’m not worried about that fing snowflake generation."

He added: "It’s like not employing the kids. I don’t want the staff thinking: ‘F*** it’s Ramsay’s kid, we can’t tell them off. You want to work in this business? You f* off to another chef, learn something different and come back with something new to improve the business."

(DON’T) COME FLY WITH ME

Three years ago, the chef left mouths open when he revealed that his children sit in economy while he flies first class.

Gordon told The Mirror: “I have got to keep it real with the kids, and also I think just getting kids at the age of five, six and seven, used to first class and those big seats, they do not need the space, they get entertainment on their iPads.

“So I like to think about what you can do with the money when you land, rather than paying out thousands of dollars for eight, nine ten-year-olds to sit in First Class.”

“I do not want them sat there with a 10 course f*g menu with champagne.”

SWEARING BAN (YES REALLY)

The celebrity chef is well-known for his foul-mouthed rants – with the F-word in particular slipping into every other sentence.

However, the dad has no tolerance for bad language when it comes to his kids.

"Swearing is industry language. For as long as we're alive it's not going to change. You've got to be boisterous to get results," he told The Mirror.

"They know I’ve said bad words. I say it is an industry language. They don’t swear. They don’t walk around shouting the f-word."

DATING DOS & DON’TS

When it comes to future in-laws Gordon has a clear idea of exactly who won’t make the cut when it comes to his daughters.

Speaking to The Sun about his ten year friendship with the Beckhams, he mentioned the two sets of kids getting on – but only as friends.

He said: “Three girls and a boy, and three boys and a girl – you’d be amazed at the synergy. We’ve promised that no one dates anybody, and so far…”

He laughs and jumps up to touch a wooden table nearby: “If Holly said: ‘Yeah, Brooklyn and I…’ it would be: ‘No, Holly.’”

SCREEN TIME MONITORING

Gordon and Tana are also vigilant when it comes to monitoring every teenager’s favourite thing: mobile phone and tablet screens.

“You go to bed to sleep, not to sit there Snapchatting,” he told The Sun.

“Tana was a teacher, so she’s pretty severe. Phones are outside the door [at bedtime].”

NO FREE MEALS

Gordon says that his kids won’t be dining in any of his fancy restaurants with their pals.

“They don’t go to my restaurants with their mates, it’s Wagamama or Nando’s” the chef previously told The Sun.

"They keep asking me to get a f***ing black card. What is that?! [A VIP card giving celebs free meals.] If you met them, you’d be surprised at how down to earth they are.”
