Can a chocolate face mask that looks like Nutella can help get rid of your spots?

It now seems that the sweet treat can also be used in a DIY spot-busting face mask – that resembles popular spread Nutella when applied.

Beauty blogger Habiba, a make-up artist who goes by the name makeupaholic_moon on Instagram, posted a video showing the chocolate spread-inspired mix used as a beauty product.

Habiba made the mask out of cocoa powder, milk, gelatine, and honey.

In the video the beauty expert shows her followers how to make the sticky mask by microwaving the milk and gelatine together until melted, before adding the cocoa powder and honey in to the mix to form a paste.

She then applies the mask to her face before leaving to dry for 30 minutes, before being peeled the dried mix off.

According to Habiba, the mask is perfect for battling blemishes and rejuvenating the skin.

She adds: “Cocoa contains anti-ageing properties help to hydrate, rejuvenate and to tone your face.

“It will peel all the blackheads and whiteheads out of your skin leaving a glowing complexion.”

The video has already been viewed hundreds of thousands of times and has received hundreds of comments from those intrigued by her dessert-like cosmetic concoction.
