6 of the best returns policies you need to know about to make Christmas shopping a breeze | The Sun

OFTEN when you buy something the standard 30 days returns policy just doesn’t cut it. 

However, some brands have gone the extra mile to make their returns date as long as possible, with some cases being up to a year.

From clothing to homeware, it pays to take note of your favourite brands return policies. 

Here, Deputy Fashion Editor, Abby McHale takes a look at some of the best on the high street. 

Schuh – 1 Year

Whilst many brands have a strict 30 day returns policy, Schuh really blows this out of the water offering a whole year to decide whether you want to keep your purchase or not. 

Meaning if you're not happy with your purchase for whatever reason you can either exchange or return up to a whopping 365 days after purchase.

Online retailer Zalando sells a selection of mens, womens and kids clothing from over 7,000 different retailers. 

With everything from clothes to shoes and accessories you really are spoilt for choice.

And even better than a wide selection is its return policy. 

Allowing customers up to a 100 days to decide if they wish to return their items. 

Plus even up to a 100 days you can still send your items back for free using their online returns system. 

John Lewis – 35 days  

Whilst John Lewis returns policy may only be 35 days, the department store does have a very handy price match guarantee. 

This means that if the price of your item changes within the 35 days at John Lewis you can submit a price match request and get a refund of the difference. 

Don’t forget that the brand stocks a range of products not only in the clothing department, but beauty and home including furniture and gadgets. 

Astrid and Miyu – 8 Months 

Jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu is known for its pretty gold jewellery and makes the perfect gift for this time of year.

However, if the jewellery bought from the brand needs repairing or exchanged in any way then you have eight months from when you bought the item to go into the store to see if it can be fixed or exchanged. 

Meaning you could potentially get up to eight months of wear out of a product before then getting it brand new again. 

Temu – 90 days 

The Chinese brand not only has big savings on its products but a long returns policy also. 

You can have a free return on an item for up to 90 days – that’s three whole months.

With products including outdoor equipment, children's toys and games as well as fashion, there is plenty on there for you to choose from.

White Stuff – Up to 105 days

As the festive season approaches some brands extend their returns policies to go past the end of December to make sure you have enough time to return anything.
