Vanessa Feltz’s ex Ben Ofoedu seen in public for first time since shock split

Ben Ofoedu has made his first public appearance since he and Vanessa Feltz announced they'd called time on their 16-year relationship.

The Phats & Small singer, 50, attended The ICON Awards at London Fashion Week on Friday 17 February, marking the first time he's been seen in public following his shock split from TV star Vanessa, 60.

Ben, who was engaged to Vanessa for 15 years, appeared to put his recent heartbreak behind him as he arrived at the De Vere Grand Hotel in London, where the awards bash, which honours 'icons' who have contributed to music, fashion, entertainment and philanthropy, was being held.

He cut a casual figure in black jeans and a matching shirt, paired with a brown aviator jacket with cream fur detailing and trainers. The 50 year old sported a pair of dark sunglasses and posed for the cameras with his hands in his pockets.

Ben's outing comes after Vanessa announced they'd decided to end their relationship after 16 years in a video on Instagram.

Vanessa also hinted at Ben’s alleged infidelity when she said that you can’t regain trust once it’s been broken.

"Well I haven't been on Instagram for three weeks and that's because my relationship with Ben is over after 16 years," she began.

"I honestly didn't know what to say on Instagram but now it's clear that it's over and I really do feel that once the trust in a relationship is gone, you can't really get it back.”

Ben has since addressed the break down of their relationship for the first time and admitted to being unfaithful on multiple occasions.

He spoke out for the first time following Vanessa's announcement in an interview with the Mirror, where he admitted to both physical and emotional affairs with three different women.

Speaking to the publication, Ben shared: "I was wrong… I betrayed the love of my life."

Ben spoke about cheating with an older woman in Ibiza while touring with band Phats and Small in 2015, and admitted to having sex with her three times

Ben claimed Vanessa forgave him after he briefly moved out, but ended things for good when she discovered he'd also been sexting one woman and flirting with another – both in 2022. Ben described it as a tough year after coping with his brother Roy's ill heath, which led to his death. Ben turned to alcohol.

He said: “I’ve broken her trust. She gave me another chance. I’ve gone and destroyed that.”

Ben admitted that his actions have "hurt" many people, including Vanessa's daughters Allegra, 37, and Saskia, 34, and their families, as well as his own.
