Una Healy insists she was ‘hoodwinked’ into throuple as she breaks silence

Una Healy has finally broken her silence regarding the "throuple" that she was reportedly in with boxer David Haye and his girlfriend, Sian.

The 41 year old mother of two, who found fame as part of girlband The Saturdays, claims that she was "hoodwinked" into the relationship, as she said that she was only dating David, but that he was also dating Sian.

As she opened up to Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally on their My Therapy Ghosted Me podcast, Una claimed that it was David who was pushing the "throuple" narrative.

Una said: "Dating HIM is the right term because that's how it was, it wasn't a throuple. We had a lovely relationship."

She revealed that she and David met through the celebrity dating app, Raya, and that initially they were just friends.

Una told Vogue and Joanne: "I straight out asked him [David] 'what are you looking for?' because I did a Google and thought 'I'm probably going straight from the frying pan to the fire with this one because he did exactly to his wife what my ex husband [Ben Foden] did to me.' I didn't like that."

She explained that David told her that he "doesn't believe that the traditional relationship exists anymore" so Una decided to not make things romantic between the pair, but their affections grew after they continued speaking, and they entered into a casually romantic relationship.

Una said that David had been honest with her about seeing other people as well as her, but because the relationship "wasn't serious" she felt like she "wasn't being cheated on".

She described the relationship as "a bit of fun" that she "enjoyed".

But soon, Una said that David told her that his on-off girlfriend Sian was still in his life and that he "wanted them to meet" as they were both very "special" to him.

She decided to meet Sian to make it clear to the public that David wasn't cheating on Sian with her, saying it was better to appear as "a happy family" and that it wasn't anything "sinister".

Una said: "He [David] doesn't label, he's never called her [Sian] his girlfriend, he's open, polyamorous.

"So I did meet her and she was a really nice girl but there was nothing going on there so it wasn't a throuple. I wasn't romantic with her, I don't really know her."

The throuple rumours started when the trio were pictured together looking cosy on a New Year's trip to Morocco.

They all shared plenty of snaps to Instagram of the holiday, however, Una later went on to delete all traces of hers.

David uploaded a picture of the three of them in swimwear in the pool alongside the caption: “If a picture says a thousand words, then this one says exactly what it needs to.

"I’m starting Jan first with the correct energy, surrounding myself with understanding beautiful human beings, who do not judge, but instead accept me for my authentic self.”

Reports emerged in February that Una had decided to end the 'throuple'.
