Here we go: The Grand Tour: Eurocrash will launch Friday June 16 on Prime Video and will see the cheeky trio take on Europe in their latest adventure

First look images of the new series show the trio posing in front of their cars while on a stunning mountain road.

Jeremy, 63, and James, 60, appeared to have chosen old classic cars while Richard, 53, was stood in front of a huge bright yellow truck.

The three presenters worked together on BBC’s Top Gear until 2015, when Clarkson was suspended over several incidents, including allegations over verbal and physical abuse against one of the show’s producers.

When his contract was terminated, Hammond and May also announced they would not continue working on the show without him.

They subsequently signed a deal with Amazon for The Grand Tour, which debuted in 2016 and has seen five seasons.

The trio last appeared together in the special A Scandi Flick on Amazon Prime in September – and the second of the season was set to be released over Christmas.

A series of high speed crashes and delayed episodes meant that questions were raised over whether the programme would return.

But filming seems to have resumed at the start of May – although it is unclear when the episodes will air.

Drama: The three presenters worked together on BBC’s Top Gear until 2015, when Clarkson was suspended over several incidents

The first episode followed the three hosts as they travelled to the Arctic Circle where the visited frozen racetracks, ski resorts and a submarine base.

It also included May’s high speed crash which resulted in a broken rib after he collided at 75mph.

James broke his silence about his ‘dramatic’ crash in September, joking that he did it to stop the show being ‘boring’, weeks after it occured.

The presenter was involved in the terrifying accident during filming for the special episode for his Amazon Prime show The Grand Tour in Norway.

Speaking ahead of the show’s special James told RadioTimes.com: ‘I suppose. I did it deliberately, I knew it was going to be boring otherwise [so I] sort of drove it to the cliff!’.

The accident happened when the presenter braked too slowly while racing rally cars with his co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond and he ‘broke at least one rib’ during the incident

‘It was very brief, Made a loud bang. It wasn’t really that terrible, I don’t think. It looks quite dramatic but I was basically OK.

He went on to say that the car was pretty bent out of shape but was helped by local mechanics, though he couldn’t do much due to his painful injury.

He went on to explain that despite the accident filming continued on as normal:  ‘But actually, because we managed to make the car work, we carried on, we lost about a day, because I had to mend the car, and I was in the hospital for the night. But apart from that, I don’t really think it made any difference’.

James was assisted out of his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 by paramedics and was quickly taken to hospital for a brain scan and X-rays.

After the star was given the all-clear a day later, a source told The Sun: ‘It looked extremely worrying at first.

It’s back… slowly! Filming for the Amazon Prime show resumed at the start of May, although it is unclear when episodes will air

‘Jeremy and Richard were concerned about their mate and the paramedics swooped in quickly.

‘Medical staff were on standby due to the shows dangerous nature and were needed after the incident.’

The insider continued: ‘James smashed his head quite hard in the impact, and was bloodied by it. He was complaining about pain in his back and neck. He broke at least one rib and was quite shaken by it.’

MailOnline contacted James’ representatives for comment at the time.
