After she and her family contracted coronavirus last year, Tanya Bardsley has shared an update on their health and revealed if the virus has caused any long-term damage.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, who has ditched booze and is working out in lockdown, tested positive for the virus, along with her husband Phil, daughter Gabriella and her mum Julie.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Online, the mum-of-four explained: "We're all fine now. My mum's still not got her full sense of smell back.

"My husband really suffered probably the worst out of us, he plays football so he obviously uses his lungs a lot to run, so it kind of took the wind out of his sails for a bit, but yeah, he's back to full health now."

The television personality previously told Manchester Evening News that the family had tested positive and they were forced to self-isolate.

She expressed: "My daughter had it, my husband had it and I had it.

"We all had it at different times so we had two weeks of isolation, another two and then another two."

Despite getting the deadly virus, Tanya said she herself didn't get affected by it too much, and her symptoms were a dry cough and a temperature.

"I've had worse tonsilitis," the reality star divulged.

When asked how she is finding the current UK lockdown, Tanya joked to OK! Online: "Oh my god, it's manic with this bloody homeschooling!

"I just want zoom to crash all over the world so that we can't do stupid lessons.

"I've got three kids doing homeschooling, and it's all these different zooms, and times tables. It's very, very challenging," the brunette beauty admitted.

Aside from homeschooling, Tanya, who became the face of a new sleepwear brand, said she's making the most of this lockdown and is trying to stay positive.

"I'm just making the most of it really. My boys fight non-stop, so I'm just like a referee in the house, but I'm trying to take the positives out of it."

"I had a few cries at the beginning, but as I'm getting into it, I'm getting into a routine."
