Strictly’s Graziano to ‘support Kym Marsh through anything’ amid marriage ‘split’

Strictly Come Dancing star Graziano Di Prima has vowed to support his former Strictly partner Kym Marsh “through anything” as he lends his pal all his encouragement and words of comfort following the news she and her husband Scott Ratcliff have reportedly split.

Graziano and Kim were famously paired together on last year’s series of Strictly and soon struck up a strong friendship that has extended well beyond their time on our screens.

The professional dancer is even said to have described their friendship as “an unbreakable bond”, which makes it no surprise that the dancer will be on hand to help his friend through the heartbreak of her reported break-up.

Speaking to The Sun, a source close to Graziano revealed: “Kym and Graziano have had an unbreakable bond since leaving Strictly.

“They are like peas in a pod and get on so well. Graziano sees Kym as a big sister and one of his best friends.”

They then added: “Graziano’s currently in the UK and he’s said he’ll support Kym through anything.”

The feeling is no doubt mutual too, as Kym previously gushed over her close friendship with Graziano earlier this year following their whirlwind time together on the BBC dance show.

"I have a friend for life in Graziano. I adore that man, I really do,” said Kym. "You can’t work that closely with someone and not have a friendship. He’s just wonderful."

The news broke earlier this week that Kym and her third husband Scott had reportedly decided to call time on their relationship after just 18 months of marriage.

The 'split' is said to have come as a result of their busy schedules, with the couple barely having time to see each other.

While starring on Strictly, Kym had rehearsals throughout the week followed by live shows at the weekend.

Meanwhile Scott, who is an Army Major, is largely employed at a barracks down South, while Kym lives in Cheshire, meaning an added long distance element to their relationship was also putting extra strain on the marriage.

A source alleges that the couple had a trial separation earlier this year in the hopes of fixing their marriage, but it sadly didn’t work.

“They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most,” they told The Sun.

“Kym’s been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing.”

The source added: “It’s very sad for all involved, but they’ve decided it’s time to tell their family and friends and focus on the future — which means filing for divorce. They’re hoping to keep things as amicable as possible. Hopefully time will help to heal things.”
