Stage Crasher at Taylor Swift’s Concert Charged With Murder for Beating Man to Death

AceShowbiz -Christian Ewing, who crashed Taylor Swift‘s show three years ago, found himself in another legal trouble. The California native has been charged with murder after beating a man to death and fleeing the scene in San Diego.

The fatal beating occurred on Wednesday evening, December 5 near the Interstate 5 overpass at 3900 Rosecrans St. A witness claimed that the victim, 57-year-old Gregory Freeman, was on the ground and another man was hitting him with an object. Police arrived at the scene to find Freeman suffering trauma to his upper body. He died three days later of his injuries.

Police then arrested Ewing on Monday, December 24 on suspicion on murder, less than a week after he was arrested for a parole violation. He was charged with murder shortly afterwards. His arraignment on the murder charge is scheduled for December 27.

This isn’t the first time Ewing got himself in trouble with the law. The 29-year-old man served two years of probation for his assault on Swift’s personal security guard David Durkin. It happened after he jumped on stage when the songstress was performing at Petco Park in the city. He was tackled by security guards, but Durkin ended up suffered a broken rib due to Ewing’s counter attack.

According to San Diego police officer, Ewing said that he crashed the stage because he loves the “Bad Blood” singer.

Later in March 2017, Ewing pleaded guilty to assault and violently resisting an officer in the performance of his duties and received another two-year probation. He was expected to be supervised by the Probation Department’s mentally-ill offender unit.

At the time, San Diego County Deputy District Attorney Jessica Coto noted that Eing had been arrested several times in multiple states, had an active warrant for a theft-related case in Florida and a felony conviction for transporting drugs from out of state.
