Stacey Solomon was emotional after being reunited with her son Rex after he received stitches in hospital.

Pregnant Loose Women star Stacey, 31, stayed overnight in hospital with her two year old son Rex, who she shares with her fiancé Joe Swash.

Mum-of-three Stacey, who recently enjoyed a spa trip with her sister, had taken her son Rex to hospital after he cut his lip during a "nightmare" fall on Monday 13 June.

Stacey, Joe and Rex were later sent home from A&E before the Loose Women star was told to return with her son to stay overnight so he could have stitches first thing in the morning.

The next day little Rex received his stitches and as Stacey patiently waited for her little boy to be treated, she shared a photo previously taken of the blonde toddler laying on her lap as he watched his favourite movie, Moana.

She wrote on top of the picture, which she shared on her Instagram story: "He's gone in Thinking of all the mummy's and daddy's and carers and extremely brave pickles who have to do this all of the time.

"It's not nice at all" she wrote, followed by a sad face emoji. "You're amazing, honestly you really are" before ending the message with a black heart emoji.

Later, after she was reunited with Rex, doting mum Stacey shared a photo of her holding her baby boy's hand, with a hospital bracelet attached to his wrist.

Rex could be seen wearing a blue patterned hospital gown while he clutched onto his mother's hand.

As she posted the photo on her Instagram story, she wrote underneath: "I got my pickle back" followed by a cute face emoji and a crying emoji.

She then thanked her loyal 4.5million followers for their support as she wrote: "I love you all to the moon and back".

A separate post saw a photo of a smiling Stacey, who is pregnant with her and Joe's second child together, cradling a sleeping Rex. She then updated fans on how the procedure went.
