Roxanne Pallett dumped her fiancé Lee Walton to ‘take back control’, Mirror Online can exclusively reveal.

It was previously reported that Lee had been the one to end things following Roxanne’s dramatic fall from grace – which saw her exiled after falsely accusing Ryan Thomas of assault in Celebrity Big Brother .

But it’s now been revealed that she was the one to finish it, with a source close to the star explaining, "Ending her relationship last year and taking a step out of the limelight was the start of Roxanne taking control of her life and there’s been such a change in her, especially since starting therapy."

Last week Roxanne confirmed she’s in therapy after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder sparked by a series of personal tragedies.

And the insider says her ‘impulsive and irrational’ reactions were a ‘cry for help’.

The insider continued, “Roxanne is still in therapy for PTSD and Panic Disorder. Her only focus is on mending her mental injuries which she has secretly struggled with for years after enduring several tragedies and traumas in her personal life.

"Her impulsive and irrational reactions were a clear cry for help which many now understand were signs of severe depression and anxiety."

And as rumours of an imminent TV return gather pace, the source says there’s been a public thawing towards Roxanne, 36, after she shared her mental health woes.

"The public support in praising her honesty in opening up about mental health is also really helping her move forward," the insider added.

"She is continuing to get work offers, but is still taking things at her own pace as a deliberate effort to make better choices.”
