Ricarlo Flanagan has died at the age of 40.

The star, who appeared in the US version of Shameless and as a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing, died after telling fans he had contracted COVID-19.

The sad news of the actor, rapper and stand-up comic’s death was confirmed by his agent Stu Golfman of KMR Talent.

Stu told Deadline: “Ricarlo was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life and a joy to work for. 

“He will be missed dearly.”

The cause of Ricarlo’s death has not yet been confirmed.

He had previously tweeted about battling Covid, writing: “This covid is no joke. 

“I don’t wish this on anybody.”
