Piers Morgan trolled by viewers for ‘messy living room’ during first home show

‘He’s A Liar!’ Piers Morgan Blasts Omid Scobie

Piers Morgan took to X, formerly known as Twitter yesterday to share a picture of a lateral flow test, confirming he had contracted Covid.

Despite feeling as “rough as a badger’s a**” Piers insisted the “show must go on” and went ahead with his evening show.

He added: “In the spirit of ‘The Show Must Go On’, I’m going to have a go at anchoring tonight’s Piers Uncensored live from my home. Tune in at 8pm, because anything could happen….”

The show appeared to be a success, but social media users had one complaint, the former Good Morning Britain presenter’s messy living room.

@KevinFord20 quipped: “It’s the mess behind the TV that gets me! How many books?

@Derek_mufc added: “Your couch looks like it could do with a good clean Piers.”

@NoisyMaesGlas commented: “Did you not have time for a quick tidy up @PiersMorgan?”

@NymgobtaLimited even suggested helping the presenter with redecorating his home as he chimed: “Please @piersmorgan allow me to re-design your living room with our latest curtains. We are heading to the Xmas season and I suppose you will have visitors that day.

Piers’ comments were also met with plenty of positive messages about his show, with @Zagrider adding: “Impressive teamwork pulling off a live show from home during challenging circumstances. Kudos to your team and guests!!”

In 2021, Piers revealed that he was battling symptoms of Long Covid after contracting the virus at the Euro final in Wembley.

His symptoms included a raging fever, chills, and violent coughing and sneezing fits.

He believed at the time he caught the Delta variant of Covid at the sellout game between Italy and England.

Piers has been at the centre of headlines in recent weeks after he named two allegedly “racist” royals on his TalkTV show.

The names of the two royals were featured in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s book Endgame.

Explaining his reasoning for outing the names, Piers said at the time: “If Dutch people wandering into a bookshop can see these names, then you, the British people who actually pay for the royal family, are entitled to know, too.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are yet to break their silence after the Dutch translation of Omid’s book Endgame identified them both at the centre of a racism row.
