Piers Morgan, 55, couldn’t resist aiming another jibe at Meghan Markle while declaring that ITV have offered him his job back on Good Morning Britain in an April Fool’s Day tweet.

The outspoken journalist set fans’ tongues wagging as he shared a cheeky tweet in view of his 7.9 million followers this morning.

He penned alongside a screenshot of himself and Susanna Reid interviewing the Archbishop of Canterbury on GMB: “UPDATE: Following the Archbishop of Canterbury’s confirmation that Meghan Markle was talking a load of old flannel in her Oprah interview, ITV just  offered me my @GMB job back & I’ve decided to accept.

“The nation’s prayers have been answered. See you Monday!”

It comes after Piers aimed a swipe at the Duchess of Sussex yesterday after the Archbishop denied suggestions from Meghan that he had married her and Prince Harry in a private ceremony days before their official royal wedding.
