Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby had a fun after-party following the National Television Awards on Thursday evening after they won Best Daytime Show for ITV's This Morning.

The pair seemingly lived up to their reputation with a little bit of partying following the ceremony as 59 year old Phil jumped on Instagram to share a polaroid of the pair larking around in a photobooth.

Phillip shared with fans that he had just discovered the black and white polaroid of himself and 40 year old Holly striking poses in his jacket pocket.

He captioned: “Just found this in my jacket pocket”.

Holly also shared a snap of the pair alongside their This Morning colleagues as they held up their NTA gong.

She captioned: “The obligatory lift selfie … Waking up with a full heart this morning… thank you once again…

“We love making this show and to pick up this award means so much to the whole team… congratulations to everyone at @thismorning… huge love.”

Phil later shared the same snap to his Instagram story adding: "Now that was a fun night".

This Morning opened on Friday with co-hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond celebrating the show's NTA win with a confetti explosion live on air.

Dermot said: “For the eleventh year in a row you named us as the best daytime show at the NTAs and here it is!”

Alison added: “And as you know, we are quite subtle here at This Morning and we don't like to brag, we don't like to boast… we're just not like that. We'd just like to say a very polite thank you.”

Dermot continued: “Yeah, do you know what, let's have a moment's contemplation…..”

Alison then shouted: “Screw that! We won an NTA whoop whoop!”

The pair then held the award high and danced as confetti rained down from above.

The NTA win was an emotional one for the team as Phillip lovingly thanked his “best friend” Holly in the acceptance speech.

Phillip began his speech by recognising the difficulty the last 18 months had brought throughout the coronavirus pandemic before turning and saying: "So to Martin Frizell, Emma Gormley, our whole ITV team thank you for that, thank you for being there with us and also thank you to my best friend…"

Holly hugged Phil in response and said: “I love you. This Morning is an incredible team.”
