Nicki Minaj has finally announced the gender of her first child as she told fans she gave birth to a baby boy.
The 37 year old reportedly welcomed her son with rapper husband Kenneth Petty, 42, at the beginning of October, but has taken to her Instagram feed to confirm the news.
The Superbass singer shared a series of congratulatory messages from her celebrity friends and thanked them for their generous gifts before revealing the sex of her child.

The photos showed that Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, fashion designer Riccardo Tisci, model Winnie Harlow and singer Karol G had all sent her beautiful notes with presents in light of the new addition to Nicki's family.
In the caption, Nicki wrote: "Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time. It meant the world to me."
Nicki went on to reveal the gender as she continued: " I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world." with a celebratory emoji, a teddy bear emoji, a present emoji and a red balloon emoji.

Clearly honoured to be featuring in her feed, Kim immediately posted three white heart emojis while Winnie wrote: "Love you Nicki so happy for you," with a pink heart emoji.
Nicki's 123million fans also gushed over the news as one person wrote: "IM CRYING CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BABY BOY NICKI you’re gonna be the best mommy ever," [sic] with four crying emojis, three pink heart emojis and a star emoji.
Another said: "Omg a baby boy I’m so proud of you omg congrats mother I love you so much," [sic] followed by five blue heart emojis.

Although the gender of her baby is now public knowledge, his name is still unknown.
Nicki announced she and her husband Kenneth were expecting their first child together in July with a stunning pregnancy shoot.

In the first photo, Nicki could be seen sat with her knees underneath her as she looked at the camera holding her bare baby bump.
She wore a floral mesh string bikini and silver platform high heels and finished her look off with a yellow curly wig. In another she donned the same bikini but she could be seen lounging on a couch.
In a third image she wore a blue wig and a decorated bikini. In this one, she added white thigh high stockings. Alongside one of the pictures, she wrote: "Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes."
