Neil Young And Crazy Horse Release New Single ‘Milky Way’

Neil Young and Crazy Horse have released “Milky Way,” the lead single from their upcoming album, Colorado, set to be released on October 25.

The track features a 6-minute guitar jam with pleasantly ragged rhythm section work. The lyrics speak about Young’s encounter with a woman who sends him sailing through the cosmos.

Colorado, which is the band’s first album without guitarist Frank “Poncho” Sampedro, will be released along with a documentary titled Mountaintop Sessions, directed by C.K. Vollick.

The album is Young’s 38th and a follow-up to his 2017 release, The Visitor. It features guitarist Nil Lofgren, who returns to Crazy Horse after 45 years.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s previous album was Psychedelic Pill in 2012.

While announcing Colorado‘s release last month, Young said, “Billy [Talbot], Ralphie [Molina], Nils and I are all very happy. We hope you love this new album as much as we do.”
