Michelle Keegan shocks fans with drastic new ‘short hairstyle’

Michelle Keegan has sent fans wild by debuting a new short hairstyle, but later confessed she hasn't actually had the chop.

The 32 year old, who recently showed off her disastrous attempt at baking cupcakes while in lockdown, took to her Instagram feed to show off her 'do.

Posing for a mirror selfie, the actress donned a white striped shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of matching white shorts.

She completed the ensemble with black sunglasses with silver rims, gold hooped earrings and a tasteful bracelet.

"Everything's going to be all white," she wrote in the caption.

In the snap, the brunette beauty appeared to trade in her usual long brunette locks for a very short hairstyle, leading many of her 4.5million followers to question whether she decided to cut it herself.

One person wrote: "Haircut?" with a thinking face emoji.

Another said: "Hair up or haircut lovely either way @michkeegan," [sic] while a third added: "Short hair?"

Jumping in to clarify the misconception, the Our Girl star replied: "nooo just clipper back,.. don't mind it though". [sic]

Michelle, who recently "ruled out" going on Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Juice "to focus on her acting career", and her 33 year old husband Mark Wright have been isolating together in their Essex mansion throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

While the TV star has been busy promoting the new season of the Sky One show Brassic, her beau has been taking the time to showcase his impressive exercise routine.

In February this year, Mark wowed his followers with an incredible fitness transformation after changing his lifestyle for a month to include intense high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Mark admitted his healthy lifestyle wasn’t something that came naturally to him.

He said: “People see me now and say: ‘He’s naturally fit — it’s genetics’. But I’m absolutely not.

"My mates call me a ‘chubby boy waiting to break out’ because I love my food. And, just like anyone else, if I get lazy and stop working out, I soon notice that bit of flab creeping on.

“I love ordering a takeaway and having beers with my mates, but then I also have chicken salad for lunch and work out four to five times a week — it’s about consistency.”
