Michael Barrymore and other stars put on their skates for first DOI rehearsals

Michael Barrymore was snapped busting a move in his skates on the ice, as rehearsals for the 2020 show get underway.

In some exclusive photos, the star is shown trying to keep his balance on the ice, as both arms are out and his feet together.

The 67-year-old had a serious concentration face as he moved around the ice, and he didn't seem to be doing too bad.

Michael looks like he's just starting to get to grips with it, as his knees are bent ready to start gliding his way across the rink.

However the presenter appears to be frustrated by his "I give up" face as he speaks to co-star Caprice.

Also spotted on the ice was Maura Higgins, 28, who revealed she feels lucky to have got a spot on the show.

The Love Island star seems to have the hang of it as she effortlessly and elegantly glides across the ice, having only skated twice for fun.

But that may have something to do with the extra dance lessons she'll be receiving from dancer beau Curtis Pritchard.

She looks cosy in a pink jumper and leggings and her hair in a simple bun.

Joe Swash is all ready to go for the live shows as he's pictured near enough lunging on the ice.

The former EastEnders star, 37, looks focused and ready to take on any challenge, but he admitted he can't dance in general.

He told Loose Women: "I can’t even dance on a dance floor so Dancing on Ice is just a silly idea.

"I’m going to learn how to skate and I’ll do it with a smile on my face."

Newsreader Lucrezia Millarini was skating in style as she donned a neon pink top.

The 43-year-old seems like she knows what she's doing already.

She told RadioTimes : "I can’t wait to get out there on the ice and start training. While the news agenda is already pretty busy these days, I know life is about to get a lot busier…with a few bruises along the way!"

The 12th member of the cast is Caprice, and she is on fire as she even grabs a prop to skate with.

She told Lorraine she is "excited more than anything", as she talked about having no nerves – yet.

Former Steps member Ian Watkins, also known as H, looks shaken on the ice.

He previously applied for the role but was unsuccessful, and has now landed a spot for 2020.

He said on Good Morning Britain that he had "been You Tubing James Jordan and Ray Quinn" to prepare him for his debut.

Joe Swash and Perri Kiely are spotted having a laugh, and it seems Perri is laughing at Joe.

But Perri seems confident standing still on the ice.

The 23-year-old looks nervous as he takes a step back to keep by the side.

He told Kiss FM Drivetime: "I’ve done a couple of training sessions. Not gonna lie, it’s hard. It’s game face."
