Met Gala 2021: Newly engaged Kate Hudson flashes gorgeous ring as she celebrates
The Met Gala 2021 couldn’t have come at a better time for Kate Hudson, who is celebrating her engagement.
The actress announced on Instagram that she and her beau, musician Danny Fujikawa are set to tie the knot after five years of dating.
And where better to show off your new glitzy engagement ring than at the Met Gala?
Kate looked pretty in pink with her look, baring her stomach to show off her abs and completing the look with a dramatic feather coat.
The 42-year-old styled her hair into a low pony, accessorising with layered necklaces – but of course all eyes were on the ring.
It definitely wasn’t hard to make out, with the star donning a huge diamond on her ring finger.
Beaming away in photos, it’s clear she had plenty of reasons to celebrate.
Kate had announced her engagement just hours before, sharing a gorgeous snap of herself and Danny sharing a kiss by the sea.
Grinning in the snap, she simply wrote in her caption: ‘Let’s go! 👰♀️💒🤵🏻♂️’.
Fans and friends were thrilled for her, with Courteney Cox commenting clapping emoji, while Amanda Kloots added: ‘Omg congratulations!!!!’
Gwyneth Paltrow said: ‘LETS DO THIS❤️❤️❤️’ while Naomi Campbell also said ‘Congratulations’.
Kate and Danny started out as family friends, meeting when the actress was 23 and pregnant with her son Ryder.
On their first anniversary, she wrote of their romance: ‘A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date.

‘No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move! And as a kiss on this bridge would have been nice, the kiss a year later was so much sweeter.
‘So on our 15th year of knowing each other we were able to open our hearts to each other to feel so much pure love and it’s been truly incredible!’
The couple share their daughter Rani, who they welcomed in 2018.
Elsewhere at the Met Gala, Kim Kardashian was once again made into a meme as she donned a mysterious look with a mask over her face, while Emma Raducanu celebrated her US Open win, rocking up in a gorgeous Chanel number.
