Megan Thee Stallion Slams False Claims Charges Against Torey Lanez Have Been Dropped

Megan Thee Stallion took to Twitter on Thursday (January 21) to slam false reports claiming that she has dropped charges against Tory Lanez in connection with her shooting in July.

“AT THIS POINT IM GETTING ANNOYED!” she wrote in the first of her six tweets. “STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET. Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke? That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up.”

“Y’all can’t tell when s—t fake news?” Megan wrote in another tweet.
“Y’all still don’t see an ABUSER picking with me? The first court date got pushed back bc of the inauguration but I can’t wait until the MF FACTS come out!”

“Bitch you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND BITCH YOU GOING TO JAIL,” Megan adds, seemingly to be referring to Lanez in another tweet.

The matter relates to Tory Lanez being charged in October with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He also faces an additional gun charge and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.

The charges were brought after Megan named Lanez as the person who shot her.

“The LA County District Attorney’s office filed the charges against him, not Megan, so only they could drop the charges,” a source told Page Six.

The next hearing is set for February 25. Lanez faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison if convicted.
