Megan Barton Hanson reveals she’s put on a stone – but Wes Nelson loves it

Megan Barton Hanson was targeted by cruel trolls earlier this week, who accused her of being ‘so fat now’.

But the Love Island star has hit back, revealing that she has gained weight but insisting she loves every inch of her new curves.

"Yes, I’ve put on a stone, but I’m comfortable with my figure. I like being womanly, and that when I wear a pencil skirt it goes in and out," she told Fabulous magazine.

Asked what her boyfriend Wes Nelson thinks, Megan said he’s an ever bigger fan of her body.

"He loves it! He loves my big bum. He says it’s even better now!" she gushed.

Explaining that shes currently living her ‘best life’, she said she’s gained weight through sheer happiness.

Admitting she’s not one to leave a piece of cake uneaten, she revealed she’s a size 10 and insisted she’s got no intention of dieting to become ‘a stick’.

And when it comes to the haters, she’s decided to fight fire with fire.

"You could be a size 6 and they’d say you were too skinny. You can’t win. But these people are sad and lonely and I just think by calling them out now and again, the less brave they’ll be about giving me a load of crap," she added.

Megan recently opened up about her mental health struggles, admitting she was so crippled by anxiety and depression that she asked her mum for permission to commit suicide.

‘"I have struggled with this on and off throughout my life… depression," she told the Daily Mail.

“I remember even this year in January I was on the sofa with my mum asking her permission. Asking ‘can I kill myself?’”

“And there was nothing she could do. She told me to call 111. It’s the worst thing watching someone you love suffer. And you can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped, they can’t see the light.”
