The first trailer for this season of Married At First Sight UK has been released, and it promises a lot of nail-biting drama.
This season has taken inspiration from the successful Australian version of the show, where instead of focusing on couples first meeting on their wedding day, it will follow them as they live alongside other newlyweds and see if they are tempted romantically by others.
And in the first clip, Mel Schilling – who appeared on the original Australian version – says in the voiceover: "All of them have put their faith in us and taken this extraordinary leap into the unknown for one thing."
There is a montage of couples hugging, kissing and enjoying each other's company while also getting to know each other better.
During a dinner table scene, where the drama is usually known to unfold, one man tells his new partner: "I'm not the guy you wanted. I'm the guy you deserve."
There appears to be a lot of happy couples, with one blonde bombshell admitting she's on "cloud nine" while someone else tells their partner, "I'm confident about our future".
Another man also goes the extra mile by telling his partner: "I'm in love with you."
There are also some stunning scenes of the brides in their extravagant wedding gowns walking down the aisle, with one explaining: "I just want to be loved by the same person until the day I die."
During the new series, all 16 singletons will live in the same apartment block in the seaside town of Brighton. They'll all be married, but will they stay loyal to their partners?
In a refreshing twist, this season will meet the first-ever same-sex couple.
The show's synopsis revealed that before their big days, the strangers "get to celebrate their final night of freedom together at the ultimate stag and hen parties – where a surprise is in store."
This season, three experts will dish out advice to the would-be lovers meeting at the altar.
Mel Schilling – who appeared on the original Australian version – joins the team. Plus, there's Celebs Go Dating's Paul C Brunson and Sex and Relationship Therapist Charlene Douglas.
Married at First Sight UK will premiere on E4 on Monday 30 August at 9pm.
