Maggie Lindemann Shares Cover Of No Doubt’s ‘Just A Girl’

Maggie Lindemann shared a cover of No Doubt‘s 1995 hit single “Just a Girl” in celebration of International Women’s Day on Monday, March 8.

“I chose to do the ‘Just a Girl’ cover because I felt it was a really appropriate song lyrically for Women’s History Month and I grew up on Gwen Stefani,” Lindemann said in a statement. “My mom loved No Doubt and would always play them, so it just felt right to cover it.”

“Just a Girl” is a song from No Doubt’s 1995 third studio album, Tragic Kingdom. It was written by Stefani and Tom Dumont and produced by Matthew Wilder. “Just a Girl” received positive reviews from music critics, who commended the feminist lyrics and Stefani’s vocals.

The song became No Doubt’s first charting single in the U.S., peaking at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and entering the Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, and Mainstream Top 40 component charts.

Lindemann also announced that she will be performing all eight songs from her latest EP Paranoia in a live virtual concert from Los Angeles’ The Roxy on April 9, 2021, at 9 p.m. ET. Tickets will go on sale for $15 on Friday, March 12.
