Love Island’s Davide breaks silence on engagement rumours after perfect holiday with Ekin-Su
After much speculation from fans, Love Island’s Davide Sanclimenti finally broke his silence on recent engagement rumours.
Having met on the dating show earlier this year, Davide and his girlfriend Ekin-Su have enjoyed a whirlwind wind romance with multiple romantic trips aboard.
Last week, the pair jetted off on yet another luxurious holiday – this time to Dubai. They even share a passionate kiss at sunset against the gorgeous backdrop of the marina.
The kiss was reminiscent of the classic 80’s film Dirty Dancing, with Davide lifting Ekin-Su in his arms.
It’s no wonder then that Love Island fans wondered whether the couple had become engaged, after they shared the moment on Instagram.
One even commented: "Thought you had asked her to marry you for a minute. Love this pic."
Another wrote: “It’s been such a joy and pleasure following your story, watching your love continue to grow. Authentic and goofy and absolutely magical, as love is. Thank you for sharing that journey with us. You two are magic.”
Sadly, Davide confirmed that this was untrue at the TV Choice Awards.
Speaking to The Sun, the financer told the publication: “No engagement. But we actually are getting closer and closer and we haven’t had a fight since we’ve left the villa.”
He added that the relationship was “going well”, to which Ekin-Su, 28, agreed.
The couple did, however, have news to share with fans this week as they finally moved in together.
They were seen moving items into their new home, yesterday and Ekin-Su even shared a video with fans on social media.
Clearly excited about the move, she toured the house stopping to show off her collection of Yankee Candles – as well as the iconic yellow beanbag from the show.
“Well just look what followed us home…the yellow bean bag…” She joked, before adding: “I hope it doesn’t bring us bad luck.”
Later on, Ekin-Su shared a glimpse of the couple’s enormous living room as Davide danced around.
The actress laughed, saying: “It's only been a few hours moving in and we have lost the plot..”
Whilst Ekin-Su focused on her boyfriend, fans were able to see the rest of the space which featured plush cream carpets, large bookshelves and inbuilt lighting.
The property will undoubtedly feature in their upcoming series, Homecoming, which is due to air later this month.
A spin-off from the Love Island series, the show will follow the glamourous couple as they embark on a once of a lifetime trip to their respective hometowns in Italy and Turkey.
It’s set to be a busy few months for Ekin-Su who will also be competing in ITV’s Dancing on Ice in December.
However, that has not stopped the pair from hinting about more reality TV including a potential stint on I’m A Celeb. Whatever they do decide to do, we will all be tunning in.
