Lord Alan Sugar’s sister dies from coronavirus days after brother’s death

Lord Alan Sugar has revealed that his sister Shirley has died from coronavirus.

The Apprentice star confirmed the sad news on Twitter, which comes just days after the death of his brother to Covid-19.

Taking to social media, the 73-year-old shared a photo of Shirley with fans in tribute.

‘My eldest sister Shirley passed away today at the age of 88 she had been sick for a while but I guess Covid got her in the end to join our brother Derek who passed 2 weeks ago,’ he wrote. 

‘RIP SHIRL.’

Followers rushed to offer Lord Sugar their support, sharing their condolences in the comments section.

‘My thoughts are with you and your family.’

‘I’m so sorry for your loss, Lord Sugar. Losing two siblings in such a short time is awful,’ one commented. ‘Take time to be nice to yourself xx.’

Another replied: ‘Really sorry to hear about ur loss. it must be difficult esp with 2 family members. Hope you find ease in this difficult time. Tc.’

‘Very sorry to hear your very sad news, December 2020 has not been the greatest month for you. RIP Derek & Shirley,’ a Twitter user added.

It has been a tough time for the businessman’s family as the news comes just days after he announced that his brother, Derek, had also died from coronavirus.

‘Today I lost my long suffering brother Derek another victim of Covid which added to his underlying health issues,’ he penned on December 15. 

‘He was a life time passionate Spurs supporter.I never forget my sister in law joking with me thanking me for buying him the club. 

‘A sad day for us all in the family.’
