Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan insists she would ‘never refuse to work with anybody’

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan has insisted she “would never refuse to work with anybody” after "upsetting" reports emerged that her co-stars think she’s “high and mighty” and some, such as Stacey Solomon, have said they don’t want to be on the panel with her.

Exclusively addressing the claims and opening up about the support she has received from her colleagues, Coleen told OK!: “Brenda [Edwards], Ruth [Langsford] and Janet [Street-Porter] are the ones I’m always talking to.

"But I love Christine [Lampard]. I left her out last time and she said: ‘I thought I was your friend!’

“I get on with all of them. I would never refuse to work with anybody.”

Addressing the report about a rift behind-the-scenes, she continued: “It really hurt. The girls have been so supportive – besides, none of us on Loose Women have ever said we wouldn’t work with anyone else. It was just so upsetting!"

Coleen has denied the reports and feels grateful that her co-stars have also had her back.

Stacey, Janet, Brenda and Kaye Adams were among the panellists who spoke out in support of Coleen.

The stars of the ITV show categorically denied the reports which claimed that many of the show’s panel had refused to work with Coleen as they did not get along with her once the cameras stopped rolling.

Mum-of-three Coleen has sought legal advice over the story and has been advised not to talk about it.

She told us: “Sadly my solicitors have told me not to talk about it. I’m taking legal action.”

But Coleen did address how the claims made her feel and said she would “never” be “high and mighty”.

Her new partner Michael Jones, who she has been in a relationship with for the last seven months, also weighed in and called the story “frustrating”, “ridiculous” and said you couldn’t meet a “lovelier person” than Coleen.

He said: “It’s really frustrating having to see her explain situations that have got nothing to do with her.”

Coleen said: “It’s horrendous,” before adding with a laugh: “It’s the only time in seven months I’ve ever seen Michael not calm!”

Michael, 57, continued: “The annoying thing is you couldn’t meet a lovelier person.

“She’s so generous and down to earth. It’s just ridiculous. I’ve been to Loose Women and everybody says the same thing – that she’s the nicest person to work with.”

Coleen concluded: “I could never be ‘high and mighty’ because my mother would jump up from her grave and batter me.

“I can’t stand divas of any kind. I’ve had enough drama in my life, I don’t need any more!

“This is my time to enjoy myself, and I’m not going to let anyone spoil it. I just want a quiet life with Michael, feeding my goats and doing Loose Women!”

Stacey, 32, responded to the story on Twitter in response to Coleen’s tweet saying nothing in the article was true.

Alongside a series of black heart emojis, Stacey wrote: “What Coleen said I’m going my absolute best not to highlight the article or mention the paper or say anything really that might them the click bait reactions they are after.”

Coleen responded with a series of red heart emojis.

Meanwhile, Kaye wrote in response to Stacey’s tweet: “Pretty sick that we have to even respond to this puerile nonsense”.
