Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock lead stars congratulating Perrie Edwards on exciting baby news

Perrie Edwards has announced she’s expecting her first child with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 27 year old Little Mix singer announced the happy news on her Instagram feed with two black-and-white photos of her blossoming baby bump as she posed with her significant other.

Celebrity friends couldn't help but flood the comments section of the image, which was captioned: "So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate

"Me + Him = You ," followed by an earth emoji and a black heart emoji. She added: "We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!"

Clearly over the moon with the public finally in the know about their soon-to-be addition to their family, Alex, also 27, immediately posted three red heart emojis.

Leading celebrity friends in congratulating the pair was Perrie's very own Little Mix bandmate and friend Jade Thirlwall, 28, who posted three crying emojis before writing: "beaming for you both [red heart emoji] I'm the luckiest auntie in the world! Love youuuuu x".

Her other bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, who only just announced she's also pregnant with her first child with fiancé Andre Gray, was close behind as she commented: "Arghhhhhhhh so so so happy for you both! And so bloody happy we get to go on this journey together! Love you so much," alongside seven red heart emojis.

Ella Eyre was also thrilled to hear the news as she penned: "Shooooooooooketh to the core !!!!!! Congratulations to you all xxxx".

Vicky Pattison said: "AAAAAARRRRGGHHHH!!!! Omg mate!!! Congratulations hun!!!" with a heart eyes emoji.

While new mum Laura Whitmore added: "Yes mama!!" followed by a red heart emoji.

Meanwhile Perrie's other half Alex shared the same photos on his own Instagram feed and asked his 4.8million fans for advice as he prepares to enter parenthood.

In the caption, he wrote: “Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies?” followed by a nervous face emoji.

The footballer added: "so grateful and excited to become a dad," with a red heart emoji, before joking: “bring on the sleepless nights,” followed by a funny face emoji.

Little Mix

Perrie and Alex got together in late 2016 following her complicated relationship with former One Direction star Zayn Malik.

The pair have gone from strength to strength since then, moving in together in 2018.

Now, they're expanding their family from two to three!
