Kylie Jenner's Face Wash Is Unusable, So Fans Are Using the Product in a Scary New Way

When Kylie Jenner branched out from makeup into skincare, her loyal fans were ecstatic. After all, the 23-year-old mogul began her extensive business with just a couple of Lip Kits that have since expanded into an entire line of products. Kylie Cosmetics includes everything from glitters to eyeshadows and highlighters. Skincare seemed to be the next logical step.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star launched Kylie Skin in 2019 and before the line even hit the market it was already caught up controversy. Now, a little over a year later, fans are either throwing out one product in the line or using it in an ingenious new way.

This is why fans are using Jenner’s Foaming Face Wash in a scary new way.

Inside Kylie Jenner’s skincare line, Kylie Skin

As with most things the Karjenners launch, the entire Kylie Skin line is aesthetically pleasing. It’s wrapped in gorgeous bubblegum pink. The line consists of six different products. There is a Foaming Face Wash, a Vanilla Milk Toner, Walnut Face Scrub, Moisturizing Eye Cream, and Vitamin C serum.

Before the line even launched, skincare professionals and fans were alarmed by one product, in particular, The Walnut Face Scrub caused quite a bit of controversy since walnuts are particularly rough and abrasive on the skin. Also using a nut seemed especially strange since so many people have allergies.

When Kylie Skin announced the line on Instagram, fans were in the comments making their concerns known.

Fans are convinced Kylie Jenner doesn’t use her own skincare line

The use of walnuts in one of the products wasn’t where the controversy stopped, when Jenner released a video of herself “using” her products, fans were disgusted. In the video, Jenner appears to rub the Foaming Face Wash onto her skin for all of two-seconds before rinsing it off.

Honestly, it was barely enough time for her face to get wet. Fans were not having it. It was especially concerning when Jenner dabbed her face with a white towel leaving it full of unwashed makeup. People began calling her a scammer and accused her of trying to destroy people’s skin and not using her own products. In the past, Jenner has stated that she gets pricey facials from her esthetician.

She also stated that she uses Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for $35, Sephora Face Masks for $8, Super Salve Mimosa for $16, and Neutrogena Makeup Cleansing Wipes for $9.

Kylie Jenner’s fans are using her Foaming Face Wash as a bathroom cleaner

Now, a year after the launch of Kylie Skin, the controversy continues. Jenner’s $24 Foaming Face Wash is apparently turning from clear to a dark rust color just a few months after purchase.

Instead of throwing the product out, one TikTok user ingeniously used the cleaner to clean her bathroom. “Omg that’s scary,” one fan commented. Another added, “And just think what that’s doing to your skin.” Chemist and makeup enthusiast Angie Burgs talked about the product’s issue on YouTube,

Usually, cleansers will last at least a year after opening. So, I personally don’t think that this product should have started to look like this within a yearClearly, there is some discoloration, obviously it’s turning yellow. It could be due to oxidation occurring in the product or the product going rancid.
