Katy Perry Delivers Explosive Performance Of ‘Firework’ To Close Inauguration Special

Katy Perry concluded President Joe Biden‘s inauguration special with a terrific performance of her 2010 smash hit song “Firework.”

The “Roar” singer wore an all-white gown with matching cape and beaded sleeves for her performance. “Firework” is a track from her blockbuster album Teenage Dream.

“If you only knew what the future holds/ After a hurricane comes a rainbow,” Perry sang as fireworks lit up the Washington, D.C. sky. “Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed/ So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road.”

The inauguration special was hosted by Tom Hanks and featured performances from Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, and Bruce Springsteen.
