Katie Price says Michelle Heaton snap was taken one week before she got her help

Katie Price has revealed the photo of Michelle Heaton with bloodshot eyes during her addiction battle was taken just one week before the former glamour model got her pal help.

Former Liberty X singer Michelle, 42, bravely posted the before and after snaps of herself on social media to mark National Recovery Month and shared how "proud of herself" she is after celebrating 100 days sober.

Now, TV star Katie has spoken out on the same images, praising her friend for having the courage to ask for help.

Posting the photos on her own Instagram feed, the 43 year old wrote: "This is a picture of before and after of my incredible strong best longest loyal friend ever that asking for help that she needed is the hardest step you can do

"I’ve done she has done it I helped her too this is the website @wonderwomanshel recommends that helped her www.alcoholics-anonymous.org.uk everyone can suffer mental health never be afraid to talk and ask for help".

Katie, who recently left fans stunned as her daughter Bunny looks exactly like her sister Princess with makeup, went on to reveal her role in Michelle's recovery as she added: "this picture was taken a week before I finally got her help love you always x," followed by a red heart emoji.

Fans praised the star for speaking out in support of Michelle as one person wrote: "Women helping and supporting women is what we need [clapping hands emoji] every single one of them are so brave and beautiful still!" with three red heart emojis.

Another said: "Women who support women," with three pink heart emojis, while a third added: "I’m glad she has a great friend like you and hope she is doing well now x".

Michelle posted the snaps on Tuesday 14 September, which saw her look significantly different with puffy eyes and yellow marks on her T-shirt.

In the caption, she told her followers: "20 weeks ago this was me – Ruined – immune system was shutting down.
