A source is speaking out about JoJo Siwa and her missing 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards invitation.

If you missed it, the 18-year-old past KCA winner and 2022 nominee took to social media to respond to fans asking why she wasn’t in attendance.

Now, a source is saying her not getting an invite was just an “honest mistake.”

The source told Variety that the missing invite was also “because of a much reduced audience size due to COVID protocols.”

“This had nothing to do with her as a person,” they continued. “That is so off the mark and very upsetting. It was truly an unfortunate mistake and she definitely should have been there.”

Executives are reportedly reaching out to JoJo to try and make things right.

JoJo has been a staple in the Nickelodeon world, as she has had an overall deal for movies, music, merchandise and more with the network for years. She also has six Kids’ Choice Awards nominations and four wins, since 2017.

After JoJo revealed she wasn’t invited, many fans and social media users took to Twitter and more to express their disdain, and reiterate that she should have been invited.
