Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck share awkward row between loved-up pics

Trailer for JLo’s new thriller ‘The Mother’

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seemed to publicly squabble during a red carpet appearance for her new Netflix movie, The Mother.

The couple, who reunited and married after almost 20 years apart, put on their biggest smiles as they coupled up together on the red carpet in Los Angeles.

JLo took to the Westwood Regency Village Theatre wearing a custom-made Brunello Cucinelli co-ordinated outfit to the event, posing for the camera with a smokey-eye look.

Slicking her hair back, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer looked dazzling in a floor-length skirt with matching bralette top showing off her toned figure.

The outfit was completed with a matching sequinned cape.

Husband Affleck stood alongside her in a black three-piece suit with crisp white shirt left open at the lapel rather than wearing a tie.

The couple happily posed for photographs before sharing a kiss for the cameras, snuggling up to each other and whispering in each others’ ear.

But they later seemed to have a disagreement in front of the onlookers, with JLo making hand movements looking at her frowning husband before they moved on.

The couple dubbed ‘Bennifer’ initially got engaged in 2003 before splitting in 2004.

After both going on to marry and have children with other people, the couple reunited in 2021 and got married in a Las Vegas wedding in 2022.

Since their reunion, they have made multiple public appearances, with Affleck becoming a meme for his seemingly disinterested and frowning look.

The pair have even seemed to clash on occasion, including at the Grammys where, according to fans, Affleck looked like he ‘didn’t want to be there’.

But Affleck has hit back at the claims, stating he had a naturally stoic look when not smiling for the cameras.

Speaking on the Jimmy Kimmel show in April, Ben said: “Listen, I have a very unhappy-looking resting face.”

Proving his point, he said: “This is me content” before shooting a blank look to the audience.

But the Love Don’t Cost A Thing star is clearly still lovestruck in her latest marriage, even revealing on The Today Show last week her new album, This Is Me… Now, was the story of her decades-long on/off relationship with Affleck.

“I went on an incredible journey through my life for past 20 years, and I think I’ve grown a lot,” she told the host.

“The album is really about capturing those moments in time. Falling in love and having that moment, then 20 years later trying to capture what this moment was, which was a very different thing.”

The Mother, which sees JLo as an ex-assassin on a mission to protect her estranged daughter, launches on Netflix on May 12.
