Coldplay add two extra Dublin dates

The Irish capital was originally due to host Coldplay for two nights in 2024 – August 29 and 30.

However, as was the case in most of the ten European cities on the Music Of The Spheres world tour, demand was so high that extra dates have been added.

This means that the band will now also be playing a further two nights at Croke Park – September 1 and 2.

The group’s Instagram story read: ‘Due to huge demand in the presale, a third Dublin show has been added.’

This was swiftly followed by the announcement of the fourth a couple of hours later, so if you are keen to see the band in Dublin your chances have been boosted significantly.

The presale for all four nights has now passed, with the general sale beginning on July 28.

How to get Coldplay tickets for their European tour

General sale for all the cities on the European leg of Coldplay’s world tour begins on Friday, July 28 at 10am local time.

The band have confirmed they will be making a limited number of Infinity tickets available for the concerts.

Infinity Tickets are cheaper tickets for people who can’t afford Coldplay’s usual ticket price.

For the Dublin shows, they will come in at €20 each, and must be bought in pairs.

The one drawback is that you can’t choose where you sit, so might left be right at the back or near the front – which is a big difference at Croke Park.

Hot property: the band have announced an extra 12 dates across Europe,, on top of the 16 originally scheduled

The first opportunity to get a ticket has already passed, with July 25’s presale lasting no time at all.

The general sale begins at 10am local time for all cities on Friday, July 28.  You can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster here.

Given the obvious demand in the presale, it would be wise to have your finger on the metaphorical buzzer on the dot of 10am if you want a decent chance of securing a place in the Croke Park crowd.

Coldplay’s 2024 European Dates
