Supermodel Heidi Klum is well-known for her love of dressing up on Halloween and throwing an epic showbiz party to mark the occasion. Each year, her incredible costume outdoes the last, and fans eagerly await her appearance to see what creation she has come up with.

However, this October, the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns threw a spanner in the works and halted any notion of a party.

Not wanting to ignore her favourite spooky holiday, the 47-year-old enlisted the help of her children and made a Halloween home movie instead.

The mum-of-four sparked a frenzy online last night, when she posted the terrifying five minute film on Instagram.

“Halloween is different this year, but that shouldn’t stop us from getting creative at home,” she captioned her horror movie.

“Be safe, be spooky, and spend time with family. #HeidiHalloween2020,” she added in view of her 7.6 million followers.

Heidi, who is mum to Helene – known as Leni – 16, Henry 15, Johan, 13, and Lou, 11, said the annual holiday felt “extra special” this year as her kids were involved.

In the film, she poked fun at the coronavirus pandemic, which led people to panic buying toilet roll at the start of lockdown back in March.

She used the stock-piled goods to dress her children up as mummies, after discovering a cupboard full to the brim with toilet roll.

A short while later, Heidi is seen being chased around the house by her children after a spell is cast on them.

The model then becomes unrecognisable, as she uses body paint to disguise herself and hide from the Halloween mummies.

Earlier in the day, the fashionista shared some behind-the-scenes pictures and videos on her social media account as a team of make-up artists got to work on her camouflage.

“On to the next look … and doing my best to blend in!” she wrote beside a snap which showed the bikini-clad star being painted.

Another time-lapse video posted on her account showed the model being made to blend into her bedding.

Instagram followers and fans rushed to the comments section of her Halloween post to congratulate the star on her achievement.

“Yes! Love this,” wrote her America’s Got Talent: The Champions co-star Alesha Dixon.

“The Halloween Queen,” remarked fellow model Winnie Harlow.

“Heidi, you have outdone yourself. 2020 couldn’t stop you,” an impressed third social media added.

“Epic,” a fourth fan simply wrote.
