Harry Redknapp, 74, was asked if he had met son Jamie Redknapp’s girlfriend Frida Andersson-Lourie, 37, after the pair were first pictured out together. The former footballer said his son’s girlfriend was “lovely” but refused to share further details out of respect for Louise Redknapp, 46.
Jamie and Louise were married for 19 years until their split in 2017.
They have since remained friends and co-parent their two sons together; Charley, 15, and Beau, 11.
Harry said of his son’s latest romance: “I don’t want to talk about Jamie’s new relationship.
“The last thing I want to do is upset Lou. It is upsetting that Jamie and Lou aren’t together.”
Harry added of their split to The Sun: “It was a complete shock.”
“She is the mother of our grandkids and she’s still part of the family. But Jamie seems happy.”
Jamie’s romance with Frida is believed to have began in August 2020 after meeting through mutual friends.
In the same month, the pair were pictured putting belongings in his car.
The couple were later seen walking arm-in-arm around South West London together.
Proving their romance is going strong, Jamie and Frida were also pictured with their arms wrapped around each other during a stroll earlier this week.
The father-of-two is yet to speak out about his new romance and hasn’t posted pictures of them on his social media.
Frida is a Swedish model who was previously married to 58-year-old American hedge fund manager Jonathan Lourie, who she shares four children with.

Jamie’s ex Louise has said she is yet to meet a new partner following their split.
In her autobiography titled You’ve Got This, she admitted she regretted not trying harder to save her marriage.
She wrote: “I wish I’d tried. I want to say to anyone thinking of running: Just slow down. Don’t run.
“Because once you run too fast, you can’t make up the ground you’ve lost.
“Stop, say what you need, say what you think, don’t be afraid to say what’s really going on. You don’t have to be quiet.”
Jamie released his latest book Me, Family and the Making of a Footballer last year.
Speaking to Express.co.uk he revealed why he denied to leave out some personal details about his life.
He spilled: “I’ve never wanted to do something about my whole life. I just think there’s some stuff you’ve got to leave out.
“I don’t want to tiptoe around people.”
