Green Day Surprise-Drop New Single ‘Polyanna’

Green Day recently released their surprise new song “Pollyanna” while announcing rescheduled dates for their Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer.

“Better days are looking up the road, and to celebrate we just dropped a brand new song. Go listen to Pollyanna out everywhere now. Can’t wait for Hella Mega Tour,” the band tweeted.

Green Day also shared the song’s music video on Twitter as well as on their website.

“Don’t let ’em get you down / Don’t let ’em push you around / We’re gonna take back the night / Everything’s gonna be alright,” the rock band sings in “Pollyanna.”

This is Green Day’s second single to have been released this year, following “Here Comes The Shock” in February.

Along with the new song, Green Day also announced a few date changes to their upcoming Hella Mega Tour this summer.

The shows in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco will be moving to the end of summer. Current tickets will be valid for the new dates. Ticket holders who can’t make it will be emailed directly with refund options.

Shows have been added in Columbus and Milwaukee. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.
