‘Game Of Thrones’ Actor Responds To Fans Talking About His ‘Neville Longbottom’ Glow-U

We’ve heard many Game Of Thrones fans complain the finale was too predictable for a show known for its shocks.

But there was one moment which caught even the most guarded viewers by surprise — the return of Lord Robin Arryn!

Well, not his appearance in the episode, but rather his appearance full stop!

Over the course of the fantasy epic, there have been gross characters (Craster) and goofy characters (Edmure “Uncle, sit down” Tully) but one of the grossest AND goofiest was little Lord Robin, the child of homicidal whackjob Lysa Arryn.

When we first met him he was nine years old and still sucking at momma’s teet — in front of the entire court.

From failing to ween to wanting to “make the bad man fly” the little Lord of the Vale started out an awkward, clumsy, spoiled child and just didn’t get any better…

The last time we’d seen Sweet Robin was in Season Six, Episode Four, in which he was working on his knight moves.

It… was not going well.

But then, three years later, he returned for the finale.

And he looked… different.

Yep, that’s still the same actor, Lino Facioli.

He was only 9 years old when he began playing the underdeveloped brat — he’s now 18 and grew up surprisingly cute considering his onscreen persona!

Robin quickly became a meme with fans referring to him as having pulled a “Neville Longbottom.”

That of course is in reference to Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis, who famously played the comic relief character but grew up to be HAWT.

Petrificus totalis indeed!

Now that Lino has experienced the same sort of glow-up, he’s trying to explain how it all feels.

He told Buzzfeed News:

“I gained more followers in a night than I had in my whole time having Instagram. It just kept on going up and up and up, and that still seems to be the case.”

No wonder! The grown up little lord has a very decent ‘gram game!

As for the thirsty comments he’s been getting since Sunday night, he says:

“Honestly, I just kind of laugh and sort of just act as humble as possible. I never know how to react with compliments. I love them but it’s always like, how do you react? I really don’t know what to do but I’m enjoying it, I really am.”

It also puts a nice bow on Lino’s experience with the show’s fans, whose impression of him was not always so kind…

“I love the idea that people find my character so amusing and so bizarre. I think there were points when I was growing up that I wasn’t sure about that, I didn’t really know how to handle the reaction I was getting. But I’ve sort of learned to love it and learned to have a laugh at it.”

Sounds like a healthy way to look at it all! That milk must have done his body AND mind good! LOLz!
